Call for full supply chain transparency in the clothing sector

Eight years after the Rana Plaza disaster on the 24th of April 2013, where more than thousand workers lost their lives, there is still much to be done towards supply chain transparency in the global apparel industry. Labour abuses in factories, warehouses, textile mills, informal workshops, tanneries, dye houses, plantations and farms are still common place.
In a joint civil society statement, SOMO and 29 other organizations call for full supply chain transparency in the garment industry.
