Global governance and poverty reduction

Issues of global governance have assumed great significance over the last years. With a growing sense of interdependence, international treaties and international organizations have come to play important roles in many issues and policy areas. Global governance is also closely linked to poverty reduction, since poverty reduction does not only require action on national or local levels, but also on the global level.
