Dutch trade and investment in Latin America

The European Union is currently negotiating bilateral trade and investment agreements with Colombia and Peru as well as an Association Agreement with Central America to gain better market access for European business in those regions.1 The ratification process for the EU agreements with Central America and Peru/Colombia is currently commencing, and is expected to take two to three years (see section 6.5 below for more details).
