Critical issues in the processed food industry

The processing of food and drinks and their exports has traditionally been seen by developing countries as a way to diversify out of low-priced, volatile and environmentally damaging commodity production and trade, and to get more added value and foreign exchange earnings. The report does not focus on the many problematic issues of farmers and other suppliers to the processed food and drink industry. read more less
