This report is a follow-up research study to the 2016 Quick Scan on the Ethiopian garment industry. Both reports were commissioned by Mondiaal FNV.
For this research, SOMO collected facts and figures on production facilities, export revenues, workforce, production volumes and export markets. In addition, SOMO tried to identify which international brands and retailers are currently sourcing textiles, garments and leather products from Ethiopia. The research also focused on the linkages with the Dutch market.
