This fact-finding mission report describes the environmental and social impacts of the Tayan Nuur iron ore mine on nomadic herders in the Gobi Altai mountains in Mongolia, including displacement, dust pollution, health impacts and loss of livelihoods. The Tayan Nuur iron ore mine is operated by Mongolian mining company Altain Khuder and financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The fact-finding mission was conducted in August 2014 by SOMO, CEE Bankwatch and OT Watch.
