Zowel de UNCTAD als de NGO\u2019s bleken teleurgesteld over de traagheid en de oppervlakkigheid van de huidige financi\u00eble hervormingen.<\/p>\n<p>Kritiek was er vooral op de verwaarlozing van de specifieke belangen van ontwikkelingslanden . Terwijl de financi\u00eble crisis in Wall Street ontstond, zijn het de dorpen met onverharde straten waar de gevolgen nu het meest acuut worden gevoeld. Ontwikkelingslanden hebben hun export zien afnemen, krijgen minder geld van overzeese landgenoten en er wordt bezuinigd op hulpgelden.<\/p>\n<p>Op de UNCTAD bijeenkomst kwamen deze onderwerpen wel ter sprake. De Braziliaanse ex-minister van Financi\u00ebn Bresser-Pereira riep op tot het beperken van handelstekorten en surplussen door middel van een \u2018Global Trade Stabilisation pact\u2019. Jos\u00e9 Ocampo, ex-minister van Financi\u00ebn van Colombia, vroeg Duitsland de lonen te verhogen, zoals China had gedaan, om de blijvende onevenwichtigheid te bestrijden.<\/p>\n<p>Deze en ander vaak verwaarloosde hervormingen, als het beteugelen van voedselspeculatie, verantwoordelijk lenen, controle op geldstromen en ontwikkelingsbanken zijn besproken en worden verder besproken in de voorbereidingen voor UNCTAD 13 in april 2012 en Rio +20 in juni 2012. NGO\u2019s worden verzocht actief aan de discussie deel te nemen. Dit is hard nodig om de huidige beperkte agenda rond financi\u00eble hervormingen uit te breiden.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"external-link\"
