Bedrijven spelen een belangrijke rol in de instandhouding van illegale Isra\u00eblische nederzettingen. Het wordt makkelijker om bedrijven aan te spreken op hun verantwoordelijkheid en er gaat een belangrijk internationaal politiek signaal van afkeuring van uit.<\/p>\n<p>SOMO en partnerorganisaties vragen de Hoge Commissaris voor de mensenrechten (OHCHR) van de VN al ruim drie jaar om deze database openbaar te maken. Met het vrijgeven ervan bevestigt de OHCHR haar onafhankelijkheid en de onpartijdigheid bij de uitvoering van haar mandaten, ondanks de grote druk die op het bureau is uitgeoefend om de lijst niet te publiceren.<\/p>\n<p>Dat deze grote stap richting transparantie hard nodig is, blijkt uit het onderzoek dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/onderwerp\/bezette-palestijnse-gebieden\/\">SOMO<\/a> de afgelopen jaren deed naar de invoer van groente en fruit uit illegale Isra\u00eblische nederzettingen naar Nederland. SOMO probeerde na te gaan wat de omvang is van deze invoer. Zonder resultaat. In de zoektocht vroeg SOMO <a href=\"%3chttps:\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/weten-we-aanbod-nederlands-grootste-supermarkten\/%3e,\">supermarkten<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/nederlandse-douane-naar-rechter\/\">\u00a0Douane<\/a> en het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/worden-we-wijzer-centraal-bureau-statistiek\/\">Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek<\/a> tevergeefs naar cijfers over de invoer van groente en fruit uit Isra\u00ebl en betrokken importeurs en exporteurs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pauline Overeem (SOMO): \u201cProducten uit bezette gebieden zijn geplunderde goederen. Ze zijn het directe gevolg van mensenrechtenschendingen, zoals de verdrijving van Palestijnse burgers van hun land. Nu is beter het mogelijk om bedrijven die zich bezighouden met handel met bezette gebieden te identificeren en tot verantwoording te roepen.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/duitse-cementgigant-verwikkeld-in-mensenrechtenschendingen-in-palestina\/\">Duitse cementgigant verwikkeld in mensenrechtenschendingen in Palestina<\/a><\/p>\n<p>De lijst is een mooi begin. Niet alle bedrijven waarvan bekend is dat ze actief zijn in de bezette gebieden zijn erin opgenomen. Zo ontbreekt onder meer de Duitse multinational HeidelbergCement, waarover SOMO in februari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/duitse-cementgigant-verwikkeld-in-mensenrechtenschendingen-in-palestina\/\">publiceerde<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<div  data-name=\"acf\/block-tag-cloud\"
