Het profiel beschrijft de periodes van bloei, neergang, overname door Microsoft, en wederopstanding vanuit het gezichtpunt van de werknemer.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks het feit dat Nokia \u00e9\u00e9n van \u2018s werelds meest succesvolle elektronicabedrijven is, stonden de belangen van werknemers nooit op de eerste plaats. Nu Nokia weer terug is op het wereldtoneel met de recente overname van Alcatel-Lucent, is de tijd gekomen dat belangen van werknemers centraal komen te staan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.somo.nl\/nl\/nokia-disconnected\/\">Nokia Disconnected<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Het bedrijfsprofiel, een gezamenlijk publicatie van SOMO, CEREAL-Mexico en Cividep-India, analyseert de negatieve impact van Nokia\u2019s business strategie\u00ebn op de rechten van Nokia\u2019s werknemers tussen 1998 en 2014. Het profiel zoomt in op Nokia\u2019s werknemers in Reynosa (Mexico) en Sriperumbudur (India).<\/p>\n<h2>Slechte arbeidsomstandigheden tijdens Nokia\u2019s \u2018goede tijden\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Nokia\u2019s topjaren (1998-2007) worden gekenmerkt door een run naar de goedkoopste productielocaties. Werknemers in Nokia\u2019s eigen fabrieken en bij Nokia\u2019s toeleveranciers hebben te maken met slechte arbeidsvoorwaarden en \u2013omstandigheden, structurele onzekerheid over hun baan en ontslagen omdat Nokia steeds weer de productie verplaatst naar landen met nog weer lagere lonen.<\/p>\n<h2>Enorme bonussen voor investeerders en management tijdens Nokia\u2019s \u2018slechte tijden\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Toen Nokia uiteindelijk in 2014 werd overgenomen door Microsoft, verloren duizenden werknemers in India hun baan omdat de productie werd verplaatst naar Vietnam. Ondertussen werden de opbrengsten uit de Microsoft-Nokia deal gebruikt om premies te betalen aan investeerders en bonussen voor het management (bijna 5,5 miljard dollar).<\/p>\n<p>Pauline Overeem (GoodElectronics Network) \u201c<em>Door de overname van Alcatel-Lucent wordt Nokia de grootste leverancier van netwerkapparatuur (zoals masten) die mobiele telefoons, tablets en computers verbinden. We hopen dat deze nieuwe fase voor Nokia er \u00e9\u00e9n zal zijn waarin arbeidsrechten daadwerkelijk worden gerespecteerd.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jasoon Chelat (Cividep, India): &#8220;<em>De Nokia-fabriek in Sriperumbudur werd met trots binnengehaald als h\u00e9t A-merk dat in onze speciale economische zone investeerde.
