Government should force companies to take action against child labour

What do Heineken, G-Star Raw, Tony’s Chocolonely, Oxfam Novib and Unicef have in common? These five, and with them many more companies and civil society organisations, urge the adoption of the Dutch Child Labour Due Diligence Law on 19 December by the Dutch Senate. More than 150 million children worldwide are still working in factories and other work sites, instead of attending school. And because they have to work, they cannot finish their education. That is the price of child labour.
